"To ask the Manager to have the provision of litter bins at the shops at Rockville Road assessed with a view to providing an adequate service as the current arrangements are resulting in overflowing bins, litter strewn off the footpath and inadequate empting of existing bins?"
Reply:
The Council have recently completed a traffic management scheme at the shops in Rockville Road. As part of this scheme Litter Bins were provided and these bins are emptied on a regular basis. Shopkeepers have responsibilities for cleanliness of pavements outside their premises and the Council's Green Business Officer will contact these premises if they are found to be lacking in meeting their responsibilities.
