“To ask the Chief Executive to renew the steps in the grass bank on Newtown Park
that links the area near the shops with the footpath for the bus stop, as the current
steps are potentially a trip hazard due to the different heights of the risers?
Secondly, could a hand rail also be put in place to assist pedestrians with a safe
route? When can these works take place?”
Reply:
Repair work to the steps through the grass margin will be carried out by direct labour
in 2017.
