To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the works to the Carysfort Maretimo Stream including a timeline for the works?”

The Carysfort Maretimo Stream Scheme was listed as part of the 118 Flood Relief Schemes to be implemented under the 10-year, €1 billion investment programme, announced by the Minister of State for the OPW & Flood Relief, in May 2018.
Of these schemes the only one listed to date to be advanced in Dún Laoghaire- Rathdown, in the initial phase, to detailed design and construction, is the Loughlinstown Scheme which comprises the Deansgrange River and the Carrickmines Shanganagh Rivers. The design stage of both these Rivers is well underway and being project managed by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
There is no indication yet when the Carysfort Maretimo Scheme or indeed the Old Connaught/Wilford Scheme will be approved by the Minister of State/OPW to proceed to the Design and Construction Stages.
