REMOVAL OF UNAUTHORISED SIGNAGE FROM ESTATE AGENTS

Question: Councillor M. Baker:

"To ask the Manager what steps are taken by the Litter Wardens to remove unauthorised signage from Estate Agents that appear on public property in the Dún Laoghaire Area Committee Area? Does a complaint need to be made first before action is taken? Or is shortage of manpower a factor?"

Reply:

The Council currently has 5 Litter Wardens on duty. In addition to acting on complaints received, they are also pro-active with regard to offences under the Litter Acts, which includes unauthorised signage by estate agents on public property.
