PARKING IDRONE TERRACE
Motion: Councillor M. Baker, Cllr. A. Colgan, Cllr. K. Feeney, Cllr M.
Hanafin, Cllr. D. Kingston, & Cllr. B Ward
“That this Committee agrees to introduce a maximum parking time restriction of
three hours on the seaward side of Idrone Terrace, Blackrock, due to escalating
parking problems in the area.”
Report:
The current parking designation on Idrone Terrace is for a 3 hour maximum stay
parking period on the residential side of the road, with all-day parking provided for
on the seaward side of the road.
An amendment to the parking control scheme on Idrone Terrace is proposed by the
Elected Members through Motion 49. If Motion 49 is carried, the maximum parking
period of 3 hours will be reduced to a 1 hour on the residential / landward side of
Idrone Terrace. This amendment on the residential side of Idrone Terrace will be
introduced on a trial basis, subject to review.
To ascertain the impact of the amendment as contained in Motion 49., it is
recommend that no further change be made to the parking control scheme on the
seaward side of Idrone Terrace at this time.
