“To ask the Chief Executive to have investigated the cause of the green staining on
the exterior wall of Benamore Court, Newtownpark Avenue side, with a view to
remedying the problem?”
Reply:
Tuath Housing who manage the apartments on behalf of the Council have confirmed
that the green staining occurred as a result of a blocked hopper head which was
unblocked during the cyclical gutter and down pipe cleaning/maintenance which was
completed in November, 2014.
The residual green stain will be cleaned as part of the annual window clean
scheduled to be carried out in March.
