That the Chief Executive erect nameplate signs for Stillorgan Park Road part of the R825.
This road was created many years ago as part of the Monkstown Ring Road project. Stillorgan
Park is a parallel older road which linked Stillorgan with Carysfort Avenue. So part of the
R825 pre-existed as Stillorgan Park until the new road was built. The old Stillorgan Park still
exists but is now a cul de sac.
The lack of nameplates for this road causes difficulties for deliveries to homes in Stillorgan
Park.
Report:
The Traffic & Road Safety Section will organize the production and installation of additional
nameplates as set out in the Motion. The signs can be ordered now but it might be best to
wait until the current works underway on Stillorgan Park Road are complete.
The works are scheduled for completion in late 2024. We will then seek to install the additional
signage in early 2025.
