To ask the Chief Executive if there is a maintenance routine in place for the reinstatement of
cycle lane dividers that are moved out of position, as there are a number of locations in the
County where these dividers are causing hazards?
Reply:
There is no formalised routine maintenance programme in place for the repair/replacement
of these units. Repairs are scheduled if defective units are identified by Road Maintenance
staff during their daily work around the County or if a report of a defect is submitted by a
member of the public or Elected Representative. If the precise locations referred to above
could be highlighted to us, we will duly arrange for the necessary repairs to be carried out at
the earliest opportunity.
