Nameplate Stillorgan Park Road

Question: Councillor M. Baker
To ask the Chief Executive if there are plans to erect Nameplate Signs on Stillorgan Park Road which forms part of the R825? This road was created many years ago as part of the Monkstown Ring Road project. Stillorgan Park is a parallel older road which linked Stillorgan with Carysfort Avenue. So part of the R825 pre-existed as Stillorgan Park until the new road was built. The old Stillorgan Park still exists but is now a cul de sac. The lack of nameplates for this road causes dif f iculties for deliveries to homes in Stillorgan Park.

A signage tender is currently in place. The Council’s Traf f ic and Road Saf ety section will
arrange for the fabrication of appropriate signage and will identify where this signage should be located.
The proposed location should be identified by the end of January 2026 and the signs installed by the end of Q2 2026. This timeline will be dependent on the fabrication and delivery of the signs.
