"To ask the Manager for an update as to the current status of the installation of yellow boxes at the entrances to Rockville Estate off Newtownpark Avenue and Woodlands Park off Mount Merrion Avenue?"
Reply:
1. Rockville Estate / Newtownpark Avenue Junction
The Traffic Section has undertaken a survey of this area and does not consider that the extent of congestion warrants the introduction of a yellow box at this junction at this time. However, this will be kept under review. It is also expected that traffic volumes on this road at this location will reduce significantly once the Monkstown Ring Road is in place.
2. Woodlands Park / Mount Merrion Avenue Junction
The provision of a yellow box at this junction will be considered by the Quality Bus Network Project Office (QBNPO) as part of the Dundrum to Blackrock Orbital QBC.
