Question: Councillor M. Baker:

"To ask the Manager the following in relation to dog licences:(a) what is the cost of a dog licence;(b) is the dog warden the only official authorised to impose fines for unlicensed dogs;(c) what revenue was received in relation to the 438 fines issued in 2004 and what was this revenue used for?"

Reply:

"(a) The cost of a dog licence is €12.70.(b) The Dog Warden is the only authorised officer to issue fines for unlicensed dogs.(c) €8,055.00 was received in 2004 in relation to Dog Fines and this revenue was used for the operation of the entire Dog Service."
