MEETING OF DUN LAOGHAIRE AREA COMMITTEE
4TH SEPTEMBER 2006
Removal of dished footpath at Carysfort Avenue
Question: Councillor M. Baker:
"o ask the Manager to have the dished footpath at the entrance to No. 90 Carysfort Avenue removed and replaced with a normal height footpath? During heavy rain this pathway becomes flooded and pedestrians, including school children, are forced out onto the road, sometimes around parked cars, to get past. Given the bend on the road nearby and the narrowness of the roadway, changing the pathway may alleviate injury or a fatality at this site in the future?"
Reply:
Works to the footpath at this location will be carried out before the end of 2006.
