Written:

Area Committee meeting June 2005

Question: Councillor M. Baker:

"o ask the Manager to have the following works carried out in Mount Albany estate, Blackrock: (a) the road sign for houses nos. 95 to 104 needs to be cemented into the ground as it is currently loose and could easily be pushed over on top of someone; (b) recently a street light was removed from outside houses 95 to 104 and residents have asked that it be replaced as they are only left with one light. They have also asked if the new light could be put in place down near the park end of the road; (c) could all the drains in Mount Albany be cleaned. Please let me know when these works will be carried out?"

Reply:

'(a) This work will be carried out as soon as possible. (b) The Public Lighting pole was removed due to its structural condition and it will shortly be replaced with consequential lantern and lamp installed. The request for a new light at the park end of the road will be investigated and a survey carried out to establish sources of electrical supply and potential difficulties that may occur in order to install a duct. (c) This work will be carried out as soon as possible."
