"To ask the Manager to investigate the alignment of the junction and traffic flow on Booterstown Avenue and the N11 with a view to allowing more vehicles exit the junction from Booterstown Avenue on each change of traffic lights? Given the large amount of residential development in the area traffic flow will increase?"
Reply:
The traffic light timings and maintenance at all the junctions on the N11 are now under the control of the Traffic Section of Dublin City Council as part of the Regional Traffic Management Scheme. This utilises SCATS, an automated urban control system that optimises traffic flows at signalised junctions. The Traffic Section will contact Dublin City Council to advise them of this and to see whether any improvements can be made.
