Carry out works on Woodlands Park, Blackrock

June 2006 Area committee meeting Question: Councillor M. Baker:

"o ask the Manager to carry out the following works on Woodlands Park, Blackrock: (a) Spray all the pathways for moss (b) Renew the tarmacadam surface at the junction of Woodlands Park and Mount Merrion Ave as it is perished and is dangerous (c) Renew the pathway outside numbers 43 and 44 as it is very broken up (d) Send a hedge cutting notice to the owners of number 43 as the hedge is growing out over the pathway and preventing use of the pathway (e) Have all the pathways surveyed for repair works?"

Reply:

(a) The Council's weed spraying Contractor will be instructed to spray the path at this location. (b) Woodlands Park is not on the 2006 Road Restoration Programme. However, temporary repairs will be carried out and it will be considered for inclusion in future programmes. (c) Woodlands Park is not on the 2006 Footpath Restoration Programme. However, temporary repairs will be carried out and it will be considered for inclusion in future programmes. (d) A hedge cutting notice will be issued to the owners of number 43 to cut back the overgrowing hedging. (e) The footpaths in Woodlands Park have been inspected by the Area Engineer and will be considered for inclusion in future Footpath Programmes.
