"To ask the Manager if funding could be secured under heritage grants or other grants for the provision of flood lighting on St John the Baptist Church, Temple Road, Blackrock?"
Reply:
There are no grants available under the Heritage Budget for lighting of buildings. The grants for the Conservation of a Protected Structure only cover (a) works necessary to secure the stability of a structure or part of a structure, (b) works necessary to make a structure weather-proof or damp-proof, (c) works necessary to conserve or repair external walls or internal features, (d) works consisting of temporary repairs, where it is necessary to protect a structure from immediate risks. Therefore the lighting of the structure would not be covered
