"To ask the Manager to install a centre white line outside Melville, Avoca Avenue as all day parking at this location is causing difficulties for the residents in terms of both access and egress from their home?"
Reply:
"‘Melville', Avoca Avenue, has been examined recently. The existing centre white line will be extended beyond ‘Melville' to meet the existing centre white line on Avoca Road approximately 60 metres away. This measure will prevent cars from parking at this location and will ensure greater visibility of the bend ahead (See Garda Consultation)." Garda Consultation:White Centre Line Avoca Avenue, Blackrock The provision of extending a White Centre Line is recommended as follows: – Outside ‘Melville' House on Avoca Avenue for a total distance of 60 metres as to connect the two existing white centre lines on Avoca Avenue. Outside ‘St. Mary's/Dunnottar' House No. 7 on Avoca Avenue, for a total distance of 75 metres running westwards as to connect the two existing white centre lines on Avoca Avenue."
