Lighting Poles on N11 between Stillorgan Park Junction & Junction of Stillorgan Grove
Question: Councillor M. Baker:
"To ask the Manager to have all the lighting poles on the N11 between Stillorgan Park junction and the junction of Stillorgan Grove checked as none of them are currently working? When will they be repaired?"
Reply:
The Public Lighting Maintenance Contractor was requested to carry out an evening inspection post 9.00pm survey, to determine the extent of the sequential poles that are out, and establish the cause, – spent lamps; power peak that damaged photocells, fuses, etc. or cable fault. If the latter is in evidence, then the causal source requires investigation e.g. Damage caused by others viz work by utilities Gas, Water etc. footpath restoration works, contiguous building work housing schemes, vehicular access inter alia. A speed repair was emphasised.
