"o ask the Manager to have the pedestrian footbridge on the N11 outside Coláiste Eoin and Coláiste Íosagáin schools repainted given that other footbridges on this road were repainted during the past year?"
Reply:
The Council have been in contact with the NRA as regards the bridge outside Colaiste Eoin. It is their responsibility to upgrade this bridge. The Council has inspected this bridge with the NRA and it is agreed that it should be upgraded and redesigned in order to comply with current standards. (Impact). As you are aware the Council has just completed the upgrading of four no. footbridges on the N11 and this bridge is outstanding. The Council will continue to raise the issues with the NRA to secure the upgrading, redesign and possibly relocation of this bridge.
