Request for re-surfacing on Avoca Avenue
Question: Councillor M. Baker:
"o ask the Manager to have the road surface on Avoca Avenue looked at with a view to improving the surface for cyclists that travel this road? Also, can the street lighting on this road be investigated so as to maximise the lighting levels as this road is very dark at night time?"
Reply:
Avoca Avenue has been inspected by the Area Engineer, however, it is not on the programme of works for 2007 but will be considered for inclusion in future programmes.
The Public Lighting Contractor has been requested to upgrade the lights on Avoca Avenue. However, it is essential that overhung and interfering tree branches by house owners are trimmed back.
