"To ask the Manager what progress has been made in relation to the planned removal of silt from the pond in Carysfort Park? When will these works commence? How long will the works take? Will islands be created in the middle of the pond for the benefit of waterfowl?"
Reply:
The Parks Department have been in contact with a company who specialize in desilting water courses and are awaiting their proposals and cost estimate. Subject to their specialist advice, it is envisaged that these works will be carried out during August/September of this year.
