“To ask the Manager to look at altering the sequencing of the traffic lights at theNewtown Avenue/Main Street junction (by the Central Café) as the numbers ofvehicles making it through the lights coming out of Newtown Avenue is very limited?The current situation impacts on the many residents that live in this area as well as funeral traffic from the church?”

The junction of Newtown Avenue and Main Street, Blackrock, is currently beingupgraded to incorporate new signals, ducting, audio and tactile facilities, and newsignal controller. The work is still proceeding and when completed will lead to saferand more efficient operation of this junction and improved facilities for pedestrians.When the work is completed
