That the Manager would bring a report on the possibility of relining the section of Newtownpark Avenue from the junction with Granville Road to the N11/White’s Cross so as to allow vehicles going towards the N11 from Blackrock easier access into the left turning lane. If the right turning lane were shortened, the queuing traffic going left and straight could occupy two lanes for longer and better use of the road space could be achieved

The Traffic Section have carried out a survey of this stretch of Newtownpark Avenue, and are currently in the process of reviewing the existing lining arrangement. Following this review it is anticipated that a more efficient lining layout can be implemented, hopefully within the next few weeks.
