San Souci works

Meeting of DĂșn Laoghaire Area Committee

Written:

4th May 2011

Question: Councillor M. Baker:

To ask the Manager to carry out the following works in Sans Souci Park off Booterstown Avenue for health and safety reasons:

  1. To remove the broken sections of wall from the area around the green and replace.
  2. To renew the sections of pathways that are broken or raised by tree roots as they pose as trip hazards. Can the manager please provide a timeframe for when these works can be done?

Reply:

In relation to item 1 regarding the damaged stub wall around the Open Space, arrangements will be made to have these sections repaired. This work will be carried out within the next 2 to 3 months. In relation to item 2 regarding damage to footpath bays by the action of tree roots, many of these damaged areas have been temporarily repaired recently. There is no funding available at present to renew the bays in question but it will be considered for inclusion on a future Footpath Programme.
