Request for Trees on Trimleston Drive

Meeting of DĂșn Laoghaire Area Committee

Written:

23rd January 2012

Question: Councillor M. Baker:

To ask the Manager to plant two trees on Trimleston Drive in Booterstown at the following locations [details withheld] and when can this work be carried out?

Reply:

A previous request for tree planting at this location (between no 15 and 16) was assessed and parks staff met with the resident at no 16. It was decided that due to the close proximity of services in the area, (overhead services and public lighting) that it was not desirable to plant a tree in this position. The tree at no 10 Trimleston Drive was removed. This existing tree pit within the concrete path is quite small. Once we have successfully removed the remainder of the stump below ground we will arrange to replant a tree at this location, subject to confirmation of underground services.
