To ask the Manager to report on what works will take place at the top of Newtownpark Avenue, at the White’s Cross junction to improve traffic flow, now that the report on the N11 junctions is complete? When will these works take place?
Reply:
The N11 Safety Review is currently being reviewed with the key issues at the main junctions along the N11 being prioritised for detailed design stage. This includes the White’s Cross junction, with both approaches to the N11 junction being examined together, rather than each in isolation. Arising from the design, it is envisaged that works will commence later in 2013, subject to a source of funding being identified. The proposed layout will be brought to a meeting of the Dún Laoghaire Area Committee prior to works being initiated on site.
