“To ask the Manager to confirm when the road surface on Newtown Avenue,
Blackrock will be reinstated correctly following the works on the gas main as the
contractor has left the surface in an appalling state?”
Reply:
A Road Opening Licence was granted to Bord Gais Networks in respect of works on
their network at the location described. The material specified to be used for the
back filling of the excavation requires additional time for settlement before
permanent reinstatement/re-surfacing takes place. The location will be monitored to
ensure that the necessary works are carried out as soon as possible.
It should be noted that it may be possible to re-surface this section of the road
following an additional allocation of funding from the NRA.
