Proby Square Road Surface

Meeting of the Dun Laoghaire Area Committee

Written:

Question: Councillor M. Baker
“To ask the Chief Executive to repair the potholes on Proby Square opposite the
Lindenvale houses, as a section of the roadway is particularly dangerous for cyclists?
Could you please indicate a timeframe for this work?”
Reply:
There are no potholes at this location that could be repaired as a temporary
measure. The whole of Proby Square is the original road surface which is worn in
places and has some rutting and requires resurfacing (overlay).
The Road Maintenance Section will include the section of Proby Square roadway in
the road Patching Programme. The potholes at the Carysfort Avenue side will be
temporarily repaired.
