Bus Number 4 to be cancelled

Written:

I wish to bring to your attention a draft plan for the redesign of the bus network throughout Dublin.  This plan has been put together by the National Transport Authority (NTA).

Two of the routes affected by this plan are the number 4 and 63.  The draft plan does not include these routes, in other words the intention is to cancel these routes if this plan goes ahead.  Some new routes for the area are included in the plan but they do not necessarily run the exact same route or direction.

The NTA are currently holding public information sessions in order to get feedback from bus users. The next session takes place this Friday 14th September from 2pm to 8pm, in Bloomfields Shopping Centre, Dun Laoghaire.  I would encourage you to attend and see the route changes on a large display.  If you cannot attend, but would like to look at the changes,  please visit www.busconnects.ie

Feedback on the changes can be submitted by email to consultations@busconnects.ie or by post to NTA, Dún Scéine, Harcourt Lane, Dublin 2, DO2 WT20.  The closing date for submissions is 28th September.
