Link to Carysfort Park

Meeting of the Dun Laoghaire Area Committee

Written:

Motion: Councillor M. Baker
“That this Area Committee agrees, given that the Council are to install a pedestrian crossing on Carysfort Avenue near the Carysfort Park/Avondale Lawn junction, that an opening be made in the adjacent park wall for permeability reasons.”
Report:
Upon review of the plans and particulars it is noted that there currently is an entrance into Carysfort Park within 50 m of the proposed new pedestrian crossing and it is felt that this is within a reasonable distance. If however there is demand in the future for an additional entrance consideration will be given to same.

The motion was debated and the Parks Dept. undertook to contact the Roads Section about the arrangements for the new pedestrian crossing and review if this opening might be made.
