That this Area Committee receives a report on the condition of the playground in Springhill, Blackrock to include an update on broken equipment and a timeline for repair, graffiti removal, repainting of faded equipment and repair of the ground surface which is uneven.”
Report:
We were aware of vandalism of this playground just after Christmas 2020 and arrangements were made to carry out repairs which are now complete. The Playground was again recently inspected, and all equipment is in good working order.
There is some minor graffiti evident on two items play and arrangements are being made to remove this as soon as possible. There is also some wear and tear to the play surface which is natural, and consideration will be given to include this playground in a full surface upgrade later in the year.
