I wish to bring to your attention a non-statutory Public Consultation on a proposal from officials of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and the National Transport Authority to provide additional cycle facilities on the Rock Road between Blackrock Park and Trimleston Avenue junction.

The proposal includes the following:-

  • A new two-way cycle track on the seaward side of the Rock Road
  • Alterations to the existing traffic islands to allow room for the two-way cycle track, junction changes and new road alignments
  • A new pedestrian crossing at the Trimleston Avenue junction which will assist pedestrians crossing Rock Road

For those who wish to review the plans in more detail you can do so online via the Council’s website www.dlrcoco.ie using the public consultation tab.

Any comments must be lodged with the Council by 27th April 2022, either by post to Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin or by email to info@dlrcoco.ie.  Please mark your submission ‘Blackrock Park to Trimleston Avenue Sustainable Travel Improvements’.
