To ask the Chief Executive which section is responsible for the maintenance of the planting boxes and street furniture installed as part of the active travel/COVID works in Blackrock?

Generally, when construction schemes are completed the maintenance of the various facilities would revert to the relevant department e.g., planting with Parks, road elements with Road Maintenance etc. In this case the scheme is temporary pending a permanent scheme being
progressed. The permanent scheme is being developed by the Active Travel Section and queries related to maintenance of the temporary materials can be forwarded to our section while the scheme is being developed.
