Stillorgan Park Road

Dun Laoghaire Area Committee

Written:

Motion: Councillor M. Baker
To ask the Chief Executive to bring a report on the Stillorgan Park Road Active Travel Scheme, outlining the following: –
-When will the scheme be commenced
-How long will the works take
-Any additional information that would be of interest to residents and road users
Report:
A draft Tender Assessment Report has been completed. A Tender Assessment Board has been appointed and will recommend a preferred contractor. Allowing time for the issuance of a letter of intent, the submission of a tax clearance certificate, insurances etc., the issuance of
a letter of appointment, a standstill period, and a start-up time, it is likely that a contractor would start construction in Q2 2023.

The work will take 12 – 18 months, depending on contractor resources, supply chains, weather, and overhead and underground utility services.
This scheme is 100% funded by the NTA’s Active Travel Investment Grants. It will form a critical link in the dlr Connector Project, which will link Nutgrove, Dundrum, Stillorgan, Carysfort, Deansgrange and Monkstown.
