To ask the Manager what plan is in place to re-line faded road markings in the
County as there are many locations where the lines are so faded they are nearly
impossible to see?
Reply:
“Traffic Section as part of its annual renewals road lining and marking programme
identifies the County’s lining requirements further to site assessment of routes and
also via notification from requests through TAG, An Garda Siochana, the elected
members, Road Maintenance Department, Dublin Bus and the public. The annual
budget provided to Traffic Section, currently in the order of €240,000, has in recent
years been fully expended in the area of new and renewed road markings.
