“That the Manager brings a report explaining the delay in implementing the traffic
safety measures on Grove Avenue outside Talbot Lodge and that the report gives
details of the final design and planned implementation date.”
Report:
“Progress on the implementation of the measures at Grove Avenue/ Talbot Lodge
has been delayed due to the ongoing work programme in implementing National
Roads Authority Low Cost Safety Schemes and the Sustainable Transport
Management Grant schemes for the National Transport Authority and other Area
work commitments combined with reduced resources in the Traffic Section within the
past year.
However, it is proposed to proceed to tender with the scheme this month to procure
a Contractor and commence construction on site in May / June 2014.
