To ask the Manager to state if there were outside consultants employed in the sale/disposal of the household waste collection business by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, how much was spent on these consultants and if there were legal fees associated with the sale and how much were these legal fees?

Tender documentation for the sale/disposal of the household waste collection business by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council was prepared in-house and consultants were not employed. Philip Lee Solicitors have advised the Council on waste matters in the past and were familiar with the conditions in the Dublin Waste Collection business, both private and public. This firm advised the Council on the tender process and data protection issues at a cost of €32,500.
