Question: Councillor M. Baker:
"To ask the Manager to remove the concrete deposits on the roadway left by trucks coming from the Readymix site on Newtownpark Avenue. These deposits start outside the Readymix site and continue up Newtownpark Avenue towards Whites Cross. Cyclists are badly affected by the uneven and rough nature of the roadway?"
Reply:
A road repair crew has been scheduled to remove the concrete deposits on Newtownpark Avenue from Whites Cross to the junction with Newtown Park. The roads maintenance section will remove the concrete deposits from the road surface adjacent to the Readymix site on Newtown Park Avenue. It is envisaged that this work will be carried out in early November 2004. Contact has also been made with Readymix to stop this practice of placing concrete deposits on the road.
