Question: Councillor M. Baker:
"To ask the Manager to refuse to issue a casual trading licence for the sale of Christmas trees on the piece of ground to the side of the Spar shop on Rockville Road and Newtownpark Avenue, as trading on this site causes traffic chaos and vehicles mounting the pavement pose a threat to pedestrians?"
Reply:
"Decisions on applications for casual trading licences are made following consultation with appropriate departments, and specifically the Transportation Dept. Recommendations from these departments as to conditions under which licences may be issued are taken into account. An application in relation to the site in question has been received and is being examined at present."
