Question: Councillor M. Baker:
"To ask the Manager if the parking scheme at Eaton Square, Monkstown has been reviewed since its implementation as the removal of up to ten spaces has caused a great deal of unnecessary hardship to local residents. Has the Council considered making Eaton Square one way, which would facilitate the re-instatement of the removed car parking spaces?"
Reply:
The Pay and Display Parking Scheme in Eaton Square has been the subject of numerous discussions with residents and Council Members. As part of an on-going review and following consultation with the Gardai, parking spaces were removed in Eaton Square for safety reasons. The Traffic Section have no proposals at present to introduce a one way traffic flow system on Eaton Square.
