"To ask the Manager to investigate the traffic problems on Cross Avenue from its junction with Mount Merrion Avenue and the entrance into Blackrock College Grounds. What measures can be put in place to alleviate congestion from this area bearing in mind that access into Booterstown National School and Sion Hill Secondary School is at this point?"
Reply:
The junction of Cross Avenue at Mount Merrion will be examined to see if any improvements to the traffic light timings can be made at the morning and evening peak hours. Most of the traffic generated at the morning peak hours is school traffic and commuter through traffic.
