Question: Councillor M. Baker:
To ask the Manager if the ESB have upgraded the lighting in Rockville Estate in the past year, and if so, can a lighting inspection be done after dark to ascertain if additional light poles are required, as residents find the estate dark in spots? Can a time frame also be given?
Reply:
The ESB has commenced upgrading lanterns in Rockville Estate. However, it is essential that tree trimming be carried out in the estate as the heavy foliage impedes the dispersion of light with consequential dark spots. When tree trimming has occurred, an evening inspection will be carried out to ascertain the level of illumination. In the interim, the ESB Contracts will be requested to continue upgrading.
