To ask the Manager to confirm the following: When will names be assigned to the new sections of the Monkstown Ring Road? What will these names be? When will the road be officially opened and blessed?
Reply:
As the new name for the road will be assigned to the new section of road within the Monkstown Ring Road Scheme, there will be no change made to the present property addresses of Fleurville, Rowanbyrn and Brookville Park. A list of names has been circulated to all interest parties for deliberation and we await a response. These are the suggested names:
- Benamore Road
- Yankee Road
- Melfield Road (Newpark Comprehensive School lies on the demesne of Melfield House)
Roads Projects have no plans for an official road opening at the present time.
