Question: Councillor M. Baker:
To ask the Manager in relation to the redevelopment of the Old Town Hall building in Blackrock, to advise when it is anticipated works will recommence and what the likely date is for the opening of the new library in this building?
Reply:
On 10th May 2012 the Councillors were informed of the following in respect of the redevelopment of the Old Town Hall building: A Letter of Intent has been issued to a building contractor. Meetings are taking place with the Design Team. The builder is expected to come on board next month with the view to starting construction in early Summer. The VEC is hopeful that construction will be completed by Summer 2013.
