“To ask the Manager if the trees in Rockfield Park behind the houses on Avondale
Court (side with pitches) will be pruned this year as some of them are so large that
they are preventing the sun getting into the rear gardens of these houses and could
this work take place before summer this year?”
Reply:
Unfortunately in the past some of the trees within the Park to the rear of the houses
at Avondale Court were vandalized by persons unknown.
We will review the trees in question, to see if some pruning works can be facilitated
in keeping with good arboricultural practice.
However, it should be noted that we will not be in a position to top the trees as this
type of pruning is not seen as good horticultural practice.
