To ask the Chief Executive when the long promised 30kph speed limit review will get underway given that additional funding was set aside to commence this work, and what are the reasons for the delay in this review taking place?

Following a recent tender process, the Traffic & Road Safety Section are in the process of appointing a Consultant to carry out services related to the proposed Speed Limit Review. It is anticipated that statutory procedure will commence in the coming weeks. Due to a significant increase in traffic queries, and limited resources, the speed limit review
did not get underway as quickly as was hoped.
