To ask the Manager why the pay and display ticket dispensing machines have been removed from the following roads:
- Barclay Court
- Georges Avenue on the section between Sydney Avenue and Frascati Park
- Avoca Place
Following the introduction of the County's new parking control wardens surely leaving these machines in place would promote greater compliance?
Reply:
As part of a recent review of the Parking Scheme the locations of Pay and Display machines were reviewed having regard to the current usage and anticipated future demand. The 3 machines in question were removed as they were under utilised and surplus to requirements. The 3 areas still remain in the scheme and are sufficiently catered for by other machines in the immediate vicinity.
