That this Council agrees to change the parking times allowed on Idrone Terrace, Blackrock to 3 hour parking on the seaward side of the road and one hour parking on the side with the houses
Report:
Parking on the seaward side of Idrone Terrace is all day parking – rate is €10.00 per day. Permits are valid. Parking on the other side is 3 hour parking and the charge is €2.00 per hour and residents permits are valid.
The Council will be bringing the matter of parking times beside public transport to the next Transportation Strategic Policy Committee with a view to developing policywhere residential areas are beside good public transport. It would be premature to change the times at this location until this policy has been formulated by the SPC.Note: The Area committee members agreed my motion rejecting the report. This motion now needs to be agreed at a Council meeting so that the time changes can come into effect.
