To ask the Manager to provide an update on the works completed to date, on the Stillorgan Obelisk at Carysfort? What further works are planned and when will they take place?
Reply:
Since 2008 three phases of restoration have been completed which involves the re-pointing of the exterior and plastering repairs to the interior of the base of the Obelisk shaft. We are also looking at the provision of a hand rail to facilitate safe
public access to the viewing level.
This will be considered in the 2010 Works Programme.
